Fresh and clean colors in store for spring 2014!

Shades of blue, with undertones of violet are used on walls, bedding, furniture and rugs. They are the perfect companion to other pastel colors, adding a freshness when mixed with other bolder colors.

For kids, colors are softened but still in the same color families; Pastel purples fuchsia and pinks are evident in kids bedding

Here are some of the colors to watch for
Placid Blue
Violet Tulip
Hemlock
Sand
Celosia Orange
Freesia
Cayenne
Radiant Orchid
Dazzling Blue

Inspiration at the AD Home Design Show

We recently went to NY for the Architectural Digest Hone Design Show and saw some great things and discovered some new fun companies!

First was Michelle Hatch New York a company that specializes in custom silver nail-head studded pillows. They're super fun and modern, but not over the top! Below are some beautiful coral colored pillows from her collection.

The next find was Pat Warwick, a local ceramic artist from Warren, Rhode Island. Her nautical themed tables were my favorite! Here's a few pieces that I really loved.

She even does custom installations! Check out this backspash!

Lastly is Mark MacKinnon from thephotoraphersplace.com who specializes in great landscape and beach photography that is interesting and relaxing. Prefect for a beach house!

Overall a successful trip!
